Catching reflective glimpses in your tinted glasses
of the masses backing,
bands snapping
and shoes tapping.

I'm as fast as you in foot races but in racing home,
stopped to tie my shoe laces,
eight paces and you were gone.
Lay in the outline to paint my jawline black and blue,
it's all caught up with me now while I was catching up with you
and then something happens.

A situation clashes into an action and the immediate relapse into the satisfaction of another bottle is inevitable.

with your time spent turned to ashes
